Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions relate to the use of all British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) Speech Applications and its Membership Area.

  • The use of BWBF's Speech Apps is free to anyone living in the United Kingdom 'U.K', with a recognised sight condition. Our Speech Talking Newspaper App is open to anyone living in the U.K. who is living with a recognised sight condition, as well as anyone who is print disabled, which covers a number of other disabilities such as dyslexia.
  • The use of all BWBF's Speech apps is free to all those as noted above.
  • Access to the BWBF's Speech apps will require registration with your personal details, users will also be asked to sign in to gain access. Anyone who is unable to use their device to complete this registration can use the following webpage https://bwbf.org.uk/membership/register/ through a supporter to complete this. The user then just signs into their device, with their email and password.
  • Users who provide incorrect or false details will be contacted to resolve this. Anyone who has clearly provided false or void data who cannot be contacted, may be removed from the system.
  • BWBF provides a suite of Speech Applications, once any user has signed in to the first app, any subsequent apps will not require manual sign in, this will be automatically completed by the Membership Area.
  • Users will never be signed out but can choose to log out through their profile if they choose to.
  • User's data will be collected to support the development of the application and to allow 3rd party content providers important information. Although no personal data is ever passed to any external organization.
